MoniAcustique consists of Monica Opra being the founder and the vocalist of the band, followed by János Kertész, playing the piano, Huba Kertész, acoustic guitar, Szabolcs Gyergyai, bass ukulele and Áron Éltes, clarinet and saxophone. The group aims to perform a colorful repertory, fulfilled with sonority, inviting listeners into a musical journey in time playing the most well-known and beautiful tunes from the Romanian, Hungarian and French inter-war period, reaching the peaks of the complicated Portuguese fado. Moreover, the catchy rhythms of the American swing and elements of gipsy swing or Balkan klezmer conduct a special note in the band’s playlist, nevertheless, the special orchestrations of songs and the improvisations of the professional instrumentalists will definitely conquer the listeners and crowd’s attention.
